EXPERIENCE

January 2003 to Present-

  •    OPEN MIC BROADCAST SERVICES, Lamar, Colorado - www.openmicpro.com
  •    Self employed – currently out source radio and TV advertising production.
  •    Manage a client list of 5 medium to small market radio stations and one multi-media  
       marketing  agency.
  •    Write and produce radio commercials
  •    Write and produce imaging for radio station clients
  •    Longest client relationship –seven years
  •    Shortest client relationship – one year, ended due to change of ownership
  •    Contracted as special consultant  to reformat radio station music by introducing new station  
       jingle and positioning phrase, wrote and produced entire liner packet and instructed ‘on air’
       insertion times.  This brought an entirely new and fresh sound to the station. While not
       changing music format we simply freshened and broaden the current air play.
  •    Contracted as special consultant by several stations to advice on organization, management
       and implementation of information gathering procedures for small market news departments.


January 2003 - May 2007

Country Conversations with the Legends
also known as CCL – a syndicated radio program that
I developed in 2003.
  •    Bill Anderson was first interview; three and half years and 125 country legend
       conversations later, Kevin Sharp was the last.
  •    CCL was also designed to put the fans in touch and up to date with our country music
       legends. It was programmed as an hour long show mixed with conversation and music.
  •    CCL  was carried on 50 stations across the U.S. and was building a wonderful fan base.
       The Marketing Group in Nashville filled the show with national advertising while affiliate
       growth, production and distribution were retained on a local basis.  
  •    CCL ended production in May 2007 due to an illness in the family.  

August 1991 to December 2002

KVAY Radio
Station, Lamar, Colorado
Co-Owner of station until December 2002.
Position held, Program Director - Responsibilities were to manage a programming staff of 9 to11 announcers including Hiring/firing,
shift scheduling, training, critiquing, and motivating.
  •     Duties  included coordinating and implementing every promotion that came through sales
        or programming in our 11 year history as well maintain daily on air shift that included daily
        one hour interview program with local, region, state and national guests.  

Home Studio Equipment -  Pro-Tools/M Box studio with Shure KSM27 microphone and 528E voice Processor and  Samson MDR6
master board, Adobe Audition back up studio.
